These three cardigans were designed especially to fit over little babygrows and outfits so have short bodies and quite wide sleeves. They are knitted in 3-ply for very early babies, 4-ply for early/tiny newborn babies, and double knitting for 0-3m babies

Materials for each cardigan (for striped one you need half of each colour)

Very early baby/14-15 inch doll

50g 3-ply yarn (US: fingering)

Needles: One pair of 3mm (UK 11) (no US equiv, use US 3) and one pair of 2.25 mm(UK 13)(US 1)

Early/tiny baby/16-17 inch doll

70g of 4 ply yarn (US: sport)

Needles: One pair of 3.25 mm(UK 10)(US 3) and one pair of 2.75 mm(UK 12)(US 2)

Newborn baby/18-19 inch doll

100g DK yarn (US: light worsted)

Needles: One pair of 3.75 mm (UK9) (US5) and one pair of 3mm (UK 11) (no US equiv, use US 3)

0-3m baby/20-22 inch doll

100g DK yarn (US: light worsted)
